How to Cut Packaging Cost Without Increasing Damage

The expensive pack is the one that ships twice. Cost cutting that only looks at rupees per kilogram of film usually raises damage. The levers that work are yield, labour, and matching the material to the failure mode.
Stretch film: yield, not thickness theatre
A machine-grade film at the correct pre-stretch can use fewer kilos than a thick hand film applied badly. Trial on your pallet, count revolutions, then lock the spec.
Bubble: stop wrapping air
Oversize 25mm on a phone accessory wastes cube and money. Use 10mm or a pouch. Save 25mm for glass and export shock.
Labour
Converted pouches cost more per kilo of film and less per packed unit when the SKU is stable. Do the maths on seconds, not only on polymer.
We will not “value engineer” a lie
If your damage rate is already high, we will not sell a thinner film to win the PO. Send the damage photos.
