Carton Sealing Tape: A Practical BOPP Guide for Fulfilment

Carton tape is invisible until it fails: flaps open in a trailer, or the adhesive dries in a hot GCC warehouse. BOPP packaging tape is the workhorse for fulfilment. The RFQ should name width, length, and adhesive family — not “good quality tape.”

Width and the H-seal

48mm is common on Indian packing cells. Wider tape helps on recycled cartons with dusty surfaces. An H-seal (centre seam plus two edge seams) beats a single strip on heavy export boxes.

Acrylic vs rubber adhesive

We quote the adhesive you name. Rubber-based systems often grab faster on dusty board; acrylics are typically used for ageing and UV in storage. Your QC should test on the actual carton, in the actual climate.

What we will not claim

We will not list medical, automotive structural, or high-temperature specialty tapes we do not run. Packaging and industrial carton grades are the core. Custom print is quoted only if we can produce it, with MOQ on the page you sign.
