Pallet Wrapping Best Practices for Warehouses

Most “bad film” complaints are wrap-pattern problems. The load is a column that wants to shear. Film has to lock the top layer to the pallet, not decorate the sides.
Anchor to the pallet
Start low enough to catch the pallet, not only the cartons. A floating wrap is a sliding stack in a truck.
Top layers
Extra revolutions at the top stop cartons walking. A top sheet helps in rain and dust; it is not a substitute for a wrap that holds the column.
Do not mix leftover gauges
A half-used 23-micron roll plus a 15-micron roll on the same pallet gives you neither spec. Standardise one machine film and one hand film.
Train once, audit sometimes
New operators over-wrap (cost) or under-wrap (damage). A simple photo standard at the wrap station beats a thicker film.
